Mint Market Launches Swim Wear Line For The First Time

It's finally feeling like Spring outside as the temperatures are rising little by little week after week. With that being said, major fashion houses are already launching swimwear lines. Hoboken and Jersey City's Mint Market boutique hosted the launch of their first ever swimwear launch on April 26.Mint Market held an event for the Zara Milan swimwear launch in the Jersey City location where guests were able to preview the collection in its entirety along with meeting the designers of the line."Zara Milan is a New York City based swimwear line which produces its pieces in a Brooklyn clothing factory," said Mint Market's Owner and Buyer, Valerie Duardo. "She is known for her hi-cut 80s style one-piece, which we love in every color!"Mint Market is a unique women's ready to wear and accessories boutique. Duardo first opened the boutique in Hoboken five years ago where she currently carries new as well as vintage pieces for women. She then opened up her Jersey City location which has a slightly edgier collection however still houses vintage pieces."The stores are like fraternal twins, both share the same DNA," said Duardo. "We collaborate with local girls to source our vintage."Vintage Stylist and Creative Director Muneca Mullins of Hoboken is one of Mint Market's vintage collectors whose items you will find at the Jersey City location, said Duardo.The Mint Market swimwear launch event featured local vendors and artists such as Doll House Express of Jersey City and local Jersey City artist Rhada Official.“It was an honor to perform for the Mint Market," said Rhada. "I always shop there very often for casual and performance attire. Val, the owner of Mint Market, was kind enough to invite me to sing this year for the Zara Milan launch event after catching my Instagram post of me wearing the Sparkly Silver Jumpsuit. So I was more than happy to perform and promote."To add on, a capsule collection of vintage Chanel bags was previewed at the event."Overall the event is meant to support our local designers and artists and to give the local girls a taste of the culture behindour small but really special shop," said Duardo.Mint Market is located at 303 1st street in Hoboken and at 339 Grove Street in Jersey City.
