The moment everyone has been waiting for has finally arrived as the Royal Wedding is on Saturday. Although everyone wishes they were celebrating Meghan Markle and Prince Harry of Wales in person, For Cup Sakes and Hudson Coffee have a special invitation for anyone who wants to feel like an actual guest at the wedding. The two local businesses will be hosting a Royal Wedding breakfast event called “When Harry Marries Meghan” in which the wedding will be streamed on Sky News, a UK based 24-hour international multimedia news organization.“I grew up in South Africa but I am half British so I was always planning on celebrating the wedding in some way,” said Caroline Henderson, Owner of For Cup Sakes. “I met Justin from Hudson Coffee a few years back and when I heard that he recently opened a shop uptown, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to create business for both the coffee shop and my bakery but also bringing the community together.”Henderson has been baking for nine years and founded For Cup Sakes in 2009. She first resided in Hoboken for only nine months in 2012 and then came back since she fell in love with the city.As for the Royal Wedding breakfast event, Henderson mentioned that the agenda will consist of a variety of British goodies and activities. “On the day, we are serving British breakfast which includes mini sandwiches, sausage rolls, and scones, provided by another good British friend of mine who runs the bakery The Belfast Baker, as well as cookies, cupcakes, cake pops and wedding cake,” she said. “ We have cookie decorating for kids, a coloring station, and a photo booth with the queen.”Henderson encourages attendees to dress up for the Royal Wedding breakfast event as well.“I will be wearing a veil and tiara,” said Henderson.Hudson Coffee, located at1100 Maxwell Ln, will open at 6 a.m and will allow people inside once the doors open.
