The Hoboken PATH station will be closed this weekend for signal maintenance, Port Authority officials said.Because of the closure, the World Trade Center PATH station, scheduled to be closed on weekends through most of 2020 for Superstorm Sandy-related work, will be open this weekend.Starting at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, the PATH station in Hoboken will be closed until 5 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 20. in order to complete “essential” signal maintenance at the station and in the adjoining tunnels.The Journal Square-33rd Street line will operate on its normal weekend schedule, but there will be no...

A 16-year-old girl suspected of stabbing another girl in Hoboken was taken into police custody Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.The victim — a juvenile from Hoboken — was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment for multiple stab wounds following the incident near Jackson and Sixth streets at 3:43 p.m., Hoboken police Chief Ken Ferrante said.Her immediate condition was not provided.The suspect, who lives in Jersey City, was apprehended at 540 Marshall Drive and taken to police headquarters.Ferrante said patrols that were already in place in the area have been increased.
