For the past couple of years, new restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops have opened their doors in Jersey City. With that being said, Jersey City is considered to be the “it” spot for grabbing a bite, getting a coffee fix, shopping, as well as one of the best places for taking photos since a couple of areas in town feature magnificent street art. A newbie to the Jersey City community is the Rooftop at Exchange Place, which sits above the Hyatt House Jersey City. The venue is made up of two spaces, one is a multi-level indoor space and the other being outdoors. Both spaces are perfect venues for private events as well since they both compound at 10,000 square feet. The Terrace is the indoor space which actually opened back in January. In this space, you’ll be in the midst of a modern-like environment which will provide entertainment such as a classy self-playing piano and live performances on certain weekends. With breathtaking views of the Big Apple’s skyline, the outdoor Rooftop offers all you can dream of. The rooftop will be opened all year around as there will be a retractable glass roof along with floor to ceiling accordion-style doors that open entirely to the extraordinary New York City skyline. The decor consists of shared seating cabanas as well as a state of the art water and fire fountain feature which can be the ideal ambiance for having lunch during the spring and summer seasons, drinks with your friends or co-workers for a happy hour in the sunset, or simply a romantic dinner. Aside from being a place to have lunch, dinner, and unique cocktails, the rooftop turns into a hotspot on the weekend as a live DJ scratches some of the most popular tunes for everyone to dance to.The venue’s menu contains mouthwatering items such as a Bruschetta Bar, Amish Country Herb-Roasted Chicken, Wagyu Beef Sliders, Poke Bowls, among many others. The gastronomy offered at the rooftop brings local inspired and seasonal specialties together. Options of ritzy like libations are offered at the venue such as The Skyliner, Garden State and many more which are locally sourced as well. Overall, the Rooftop at Exchange Place is a short train or ferry ride from New York City, which also gives New Yorkers a chance to experience the fancy nightlife Jersey City has to offer. The outdoor Rooftop is scheduled to open its doors to the public starting April 27. For more information, visit http://rooftopxp.com.[gallery type="slideshow" size="full" ids="13902,13903,13904"]
